3.75 Stars bumped up to 4 for mentioning the great Dinah Washington!A good story about grief and renewal. I liked the characters, particularly that they were more mature than those found in most books.
I do confess to being pulled out of the story several times by certain inconsistencies relating to weather and light conditions in Alaska during different months. For example, I could never envision myself sitting on the porch, in a rocking chair, doing ANYTHING, in December...the average temp. being approx. 15℉!
