I particularly enjoyed the first part of the book. Max and his very large family were wonderful. Once Darren and Max return home after Thanksgiving, something was missing in the story for me. There was nothing to lead me from the new beginning of their relationship at Thanksgiving to how it stood at Christmas. But maybe that's just me...I'm tired and cranky and want my bed!
